country or place that gave women the vote - is there a reference on the net? South Australia gave women the vote 1894 - I thought that they were the first. Cheers - sorry, just curious.

Thanks for the question, there is an NZ government site Elections.org.nz that says NZ was the "Country" in the world to give women the vote in 1893. Check it out...
